Building a Compassionate Future for All Animals

The Foundation for Animal Empathy (FAE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting wild, companion, lab tested, and farmed animals through advocacy, education, and community action. Our mission is to strengthen public awareness, highlight compassionate solutions, and inspire people to support better treatment for all animals.

FAE works to address cruelty in all forms, including factory farming, invasive experiments, unethical wildlife management, and destructive land practices. We promote evidence based education, plant powered living, stronger protections for vulnerable species, and positive actions that help animals and the ecosystems they rely on.

Education and Advocacy

We advance Animal Empathy by combining public education with meaningful advocacy. Through our Plant Powered for the Animals festival and the AEON online network, we create spaces where artists, rescuers, educators, and activists can share their work with both local communities and a global audience.

Our outreach campaigns and media content highlight the realities of wildlife management, giving the public insight into the challenges facing vulnerable species and the policies that shape their future. By amplifying compassionate voices and providing accessible, engaging ways for people to learn and get involved, we empower communities to support better protections, influence cultural norms, and help build a more humane world for all animals.

FAE provides direct support to both the public and vulnerable animals through our Wildlife Emergency Support system, offering guidance during wildlife emergencies and human wildlife conflicts. Our FAE Intelligence platform shares accurate information on wildlife conservation, plant based living, and animal related policy issues.

We also manage the Woodland Animal Sanctuary, a protected conservation site that prohibits hunting, fishing, and logging. With old growth trees and a healthy natural habitat, it supports hundreds of native species. It is also a peaceful lakeside refuge where orphaned domestic and agricultural animals live out their lives safely and without exploitation.
